Description

You will manage the full lifecycle of DataStax Cassandra clusters, including setup, optimization, and 24/7 support.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade DataStax Enterprise (DSE) and Cassandra DBMS across multiple environments.
• Design and implement Cassandra data models, schemas, and resource plans.
• Monitor cluster performance, health, and security, resolving bottlenecks and data inconsistencies.
• Implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and minimize downtime.
• Optimize read and write operations and manage data migration from other file systems.

Required Skills

• 9+ years of experience handling NoSQL databases, specifically Cassandra.
• Strong knowledge of DataStax Enterprise (DSE) platform and Cassandra architecture.
• Proficient in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting DSE Cassandra clusters.
• Experience with Linux/Unix systems and Shell scripting.
• Hands-on administration experience with DataStax NoSQL database maintenance.
• Strong database administration experience with performance tuning for high throughput and low latency.
• Ability to manage 24/7 support responsibilities.
