Description

Overview

  • We are seeking a Production Support Engineer to support critical applications within the Market Risk domain. This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of production systems while partnering closely with business, development, and infrastructure teams in a fast-paced, global environment

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for business users, responding to and resolving production-related queries
  • Provide end-to-end production support, including feed and batch monitoring, alert management, and issue resolution
  • Manage incident lifecycle, including triage, escalation, and communication to stakeholders
  • Monitor system health using enterprise tools (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace, ITRS) and proactively identify issues
  • Collaborate with development teams to investigate root causes and implement long-term fixes
  • Utilize tools such as JIRA, ITSM platforms, and monitoring systems for tracking, reporting, and updates
  • Maintain and enhance documentation and knowledge base resources
  • Support batch scheduling and job management processes (e.g., Autosys)
  • Produce and analyze operational metrics and reports
  • Coordinate and execute Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery testing
  • Lead and facilitate issue resolution calls and stakeholder discussions
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency

 

Must-Haves

  • 10+ years of experience in Application or Production Support
  • Strong experience in SQL for troubleshooting and data analysis
  • Hands-on experience with UNIX/Linux environments
  • Knowledge of incident, problem, and change management (ITIL framework)
  • Working knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace)
  • Knowledge of job scheduling tools such as Autosys or Bob jobs or similar
  • Experience using ticketing and workflow tools (e.g., JIRA, ServiceNow/ITSM platforms)
  • Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Knowledge of Python scripting
