Description

You will manage incident response and system availability for business-critical applications in a 24/7 production environment.

Responsibilities

• Own incident management to ensure system uptime and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Monitor system integrity, hardware resources, and scheduled jobs using monitoring tools and script-based notifications.
• Manage application deployment, code movements, and bug fixes across Production, SIT, and UAT environments.
• Execute OS and database patching and participate in Change Control Board meetings to plan production movements.
• Maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles for L1 support teams.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience in L1/L2 production support within high-volume environments.
• Strong proficiency in Linux, Unix, or Windows platforms.
• Hands-on experience with RDBMS including Oracle, MySQL, and MSSQL, including writing complex SQL queries with JOINs.
• Experience managing applications on Web-App servers such as Apache Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere, or JBoss.
• Practical knowledge of Incident, Problem, Capacity, Change, and Release Management processes.
• Experience with scheduling tools like Autosys or crontab.
• Familiarity with API and Microservices architectures.
• Ability to analyze application server logs for troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• Working knowledge of networking technologies including Load Balancers and DNS.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or Java.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline operations.
