Description

You will secure web and rich internet applications by integrating security into the development lifecycle and API management processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement automated security integration solutions and API functionality using JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python.
• Perform API security assessments and remediation activities to ensure alignment with security policies and OWASP standards.
• Collaborate with DevOps and cloud architects to design and manage secure, scalable cloud infrastructure environments.
• Review new and existing APIs/web services with development teams to ensure adherence to best practices.
• Work with API Management platforms to develop, test, and manage APIs, products, and plans.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software development or security roles.
• 2+ years of experience as a frontend or backend software developer.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python.
• Experience with API technologies including HashiCorp Vault APIs, Cloud APIs, and API gateways.
• Strong understanding of REST and SOAP web service implementation paradigms.
• Knowledge of cryptography concepts including hashing, signing, and symmetric/asymmetric encryption.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, CloudBees, Buddy, or UrbanCode.
• Familiarity with Git, Docker, SoapUI, SonarQube, and Artifactory.
• Experience with Azure Resource Manager (ARM) and scripting via PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Shell.
• Understanding of microservices architecture, software cohesion, and coupling.
• Practical knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts.
• Familiarity with OWASP and the SANS Top 25.
• Experience working within Agile frameworks like Scrum or Rally.

Preferred Skills

• Experience deploying and configuring API scanning tools.
• Experience developing solutions that integrate data from APIs, endpoints, and databases.
