Description

Owns the release, maintenance, and performance tuning of enterprise application servers and distributed caching infrastructure.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Delivers 24x7 highly available computing solutions, ensuring platform performance meets enterprise SLAs through monitoring and tuning.
• Implements releases, upgrades, and changes to IBM WebSphere, JBoss, and Red Hat OpenShift environments.
• Provides technical support for lifecycle planning, problem management, and system diagnostics, including heap and thread dump analysis.
• Executes capacity planning, workload modeling, and system maintenance across Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Coordinates with application groups and DBAs to configure, install, and troubleshoot middleware and hardware systems.

Required Skills

• 5+ years experience with IBM WebSphere eXtreme Scale server 8.1+ and IBM WebSphere Application Server 8.5+.
• 5+ years experience with JBoss EAP 6.3+.
• 3+ years managing application development containers on Linux and Windows.
• 3+ years expertise in Ansible, JACL, Jython, Python, JVM tuning, and Log Analysis.
• Hands-on experience with IBM WAS, Tomcat, JBOSS EAP, Red Hat OpenShift, and distributed caches (IBM WXS, RedHat DataGrid).
• Proficiency in automation scripting (YAML, bash, wsadmin, python) with at least 2 years of Ansible/YAML automation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud environments.
• Experience with J2EE Container management and enterprise standards documentation.
