Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain core GitHub components with a focus on availability, accessibility, and security.
• Communicate and track realistic plans to ship bug fixes and engineering improvements.
• Coordinate with engineering leadership, customer support, and other teams to prioritize projects.
• Ensure compliance with software development best practices and industry standards.
• Work with stakeholders to understand technical constraints and business objectives.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience writing production-grade Ruby on Rails.
• Proficiency with React.
• Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining distributed systems.
• Experience in testing, production system monitoring, and observability.
• Strong debugging and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree.
