Description

You will own the operational readiness, performance, and security of SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle databases supporting an enterprise program management suite.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade database servers including PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, and Oracle.
• Establish backup and recovery policies, validate restores, and perform capacity planning for growth.
• Implement database security by managing users, roles, and privileges across environments.
• Monitor system health, tune database and application performance, and resolve complex issues in real time.
• Automate regular processes, document standards, and provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience administering MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience with MySQL and Oracle server software installation and maintenance.
• Strong expertise in performance tuning and optimization using native monitoring tools.
• Proficiency in data modeling, schema refinement, and complex query optimization.
• Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory integration.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with development teams on technical consultations.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS services, specifically Aurora PostgreSQL.
• AWS Solutions Architect or System Operations Administration certification.
