Description

You will design, implement, and optimize observability solutions for cloud-based applications and infrastructure within the Technology Operations team.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain observability solutions using Splunk, Google Analytics, and Bindplane to improve system visibility and telemetry quality.
• Build and optimize logging, metrics, and tracing strategies across AWS environments, ensuring high signal-to-noise ratios.
• Troubleshoot production issues across application, infrastructure, and integration layers, driving improvements in reliability and performance.
• Implement observability components using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and automate deployments with Ansible.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to instrument applications and support third-party platforms like SAP, Oracle, and Axway.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in application support or observability engineering.
• Strong expertise with Splunk for log management and analytics (required).
• Experience with Google Analytics (GA/GA4) or Bindplane for telemetry collection and routing.
• Proficiency in AWS cloud environments, including integration with monitoring platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, specifically Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Automation scripting skills in Python and Bash, with experience in Ansible.
• Strong foundation in monitoring concepts: metrics, logs, traces, and anomaly detection.
• Experience with incident management, root cause analysis, and reducing MTTR.

Preferred Skills

• Experience integrating multiple telemetry sources into centralized platforms.
• Familiarity with COTS platforms (SAP, Oracle, Axway, Qlik) monitoring instrumentation.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and ITSM tools like ServiceNow.
