Description

You will provide 24/7 operational support for mainframe and open systems hosted in data centers, serving as the primary contact for client inquiries and service requests regarding batch processing and file transfers.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Investigate production alerts and incidents, manage escalation paths, and drive resolution through the incident lifecycle.
• Execute batch monitoring, ensure timely escalation of batch failures, and maintain online system availability aligned to SLAs/OLAs.
• Perform operational change tasks including upgrades, releases, IPLs, disaster recovery exercises, and emergency failover procedures.
• Support transaction processing and middleware environments, ensuring stability across CICS, IMS, MQ, and DB2.

Required Skills

• 4-6 years of production or operations support experience.
• Strong background in mainframe support within a production operations environment.
• Experience with operational monitoring and incident response in a 24x7 setting.
• Proficiency in batch processing support and troubleshooting production failures or abends.
• Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools and middleware environments.
• Relevant degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Dedicated CICS experience.
• Hands-on IBM MQ experience.
