Responsibilities

Tasks and Responsibilities:

·       PIC-SURE includes a User Interface (UI) and Application Programming Interface (API) for users to define their research cohort and analyze data.

·       PIC-SURE integrates different layers of clinical and genomic data from diverse data sources, providing a multifaceted approach to biomedical research.

·       The PIC-SURE platform was built with an Apache 2.0 license and is open source.

·       % of time spent on each area changes with the needs of the Lab and is not consistent day today.

·       The role does not provide opportunities for conducting research, genomic analyses/pipelines, machine learning, or AI.

·       The role does provide an opportunity to support researchers with their projects.

·       Collaborate with AWS Software Engineers to further develop features in SWB using Node.js, Cloud Formation, etc.

·       Further develop the PIC-SURE AWS Cloud Environment using AWS Landing Zones, AWS Cloud Formation, AWS IAM, Okta Advanced Server Access, etc.

·       Develop new features in PIC-SURE using Java, JavaScript, etc.

·       Assist researchers to create cohorts and analysis through multiple communication tools: Slack, Service Desks, and video conferencing.

·       Utilize feedback provided by users to develop new features for PIC-SURE.

·       Develop user journeys and UI designs.

·       Create and present PIC-SURE functionalities in the form of slide decks and live demonstrations.

·       Contribute to scientific writing and creation of data figures to be included in research publications.

·       Represent PIC-SURE in external meetings to the research community

·       Create and maintain examples in Jupyter notebooks of how researchers can use the PIC-SURE API in R, Rstudio, and python.

·       Develop scientific use cases using phenotypic and genomic data types accessed through the PIC-SURE API client libraries in R and Python.

·       Support data ingestion and curation, develop QA pipelines
