Description

You will build and maintain Postgres databases and associated applications within a cloud environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Plan database structures, security, and architecture for Postgres implementations in Azure.
• Define data and application requirements from initial analysis through to implementation and maintenance.
• Perform performance analysis, tuning, and optimization to ensure system efficiency.
• Support the full software development life-cycle for both application and database components.
• Implement new data technologies and follow industry best practices for data ingestion and design.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in application and database development.
• 2-3 years of direct experience working with Postgres.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and PL/pgSQL.
• 3+ years of UNIX shell scripting experience in a UNIX-based environment.
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Azure Cloud experience or AWS proficiency.
• Experience working within an Agile/Scrum team.
• Background in software development, database architecture, or Oracle.
