Applications Development Analyst

Design, develop, and maintain applications within an IBM AS400 environment using RPG.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex analysis, design, and development of system modifications and enhancements.
• Debug and resolve production problems using defined system development processes and standards.
• Conduct testing of program modifications to ensure system integrity.
• Create and maintain system and program documentation.
• Transfer knowledge and technical skills to junior-level programmers.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of verifiable RPG programming experience on an AS400 system within the last 12–15 years.
• Proficiency in CL/400, RPG/400, ILE RPG, and SQL RPGLE.
• Experience with Screen Design Aid (SDA) and extensive work with subfiles.
• Ability to perform all phases of applications systems analysis and programming.
• Competency in Windows and Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve real-time production issues.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Query 400 and Aldon Change Management Software.
• Experience with Image Plus operating systems.
