Lead applications development teams in Chennai, delivering technical oversight and managing the full lifecycle of software projects within the financial services sector.

Responsibilities

• Manage applications development teams, including hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
• Provide technical oversight across systems, reviewing proposed solutions for quality and feasibility.
• Develop strategies for applications development and functional areas to align with business goals.
• Handle budget management, resource allocation, and day-to-day staff management issues.
• Define standards, negotiate with external parties, and ensure essential procedures are followed.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of relevant experience in the Financial Services industry.
• Proven experience as an Applications Development Manager or senior lead role.
• Strong technical background in Java and Angular.
• Experience in applications development, project management, and team management.
• Ability to assess risk and provide evaluative judgment in complex situations.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Familiarity with AI tools and their application in development workflows.
• Experience handling budget management and resource allocation.
