Apptio Developer

Key Responsibilities

 

• Design, develop, and maintain ApptioOne (TBM) applications, including cost models, allocations, and reporting structures.
• Configure data ingestion, transformation, and validation pipelines within Apptio.
• Build and maintain cost transparency models (infrastructure, applications, services).
• Develop dashboards, reports, and financial insights for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with IT, Finance, and business teams to gather requirements and translate them into Apptio solutions.
• Perform data mapping and integration from multiple sources (ERP, CMDB, cloud platforms, etc.).
• Ensure data accuracy, reconciliation, and governance within Apptio.
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and planning processes using Apptio tools.
• Optimize existing models for performance and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data, models, and reporting. 
  
   

Required Skills & Experience

 

• 3 7+ years of experience in Apptio development / TBM implementation.
• Strong hands-on experience with ApptioOne / TBM Studio / Cost Transparency.
• Experience building cost models, allocations, and financial reports.
• Proficiency in data modeling, ETL processes, and data transformation.
• Experience integrating Apptio with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle), CMDB tools, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of IT financial management, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills. 
  
   

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

 

• Knowledge of TBM taxonomy and FinOps practices.
• Experience with Apptio modules such as Costing Standard, Planning, or Cloudability.
• Exposure to SQL, Python, or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Experience in cloud cost optimization and financial governance.
• Relevant certifications in Apptio / TBM / FinOps
