Description

You will design, develop, and document test changes in microservices-based applications, ensuring adherence to software development standards. You will initiate design reviews, resolve production issues, and collaborate with team members to keep deliverables on schedule. Your role includes assisting system analysts in translating business requirements into technical designs and facilitating cross-functional training.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement distributed, scalable web applications using microservices and domain-driven design.
• Perform unit, integration, and load testing, including static analysis and automated test execution.
• Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery and deployment.
• Participate in requirement gathering and functional specification activities.
• Recommend new technologies and development processes to improve team efficiency.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Java 1.8 and the Spring Boot framework.
• Proven expertise in designing microservices architectures and RESTful services.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including ECS, Fargate, EC2, VPC, S3, DynamoDB, and CloudFormation.
• Strong proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy.
• Experience with enterprise streaming platforms, specifically Apache Kafka.
• Knowledge of NoSQL (Cassandra, DynamoDB, MongoDB) and relational databases (MySQL, Oracle).
• Familiarity with monitoring and tracing tools like Splunk, SignalFx, or New Relic.
• Competence in test automation using Mockito and Cucumber.
