Support the EHRM-IO program by coordinating cross-disciplinary efforts to ensure platform integration, compatibility, and usability for EHR modernization.
Responsibilities
Recommend processes for developing value metrics and liaise between stakeholder groups to communicate business needs and technical requirements.
Conduct value assessments and analyze programs for efficiency and compliance with Federal and VA policies.
Evaluate software applications and provide Clinical Informatics expertise to translate requirements for technical implementation.
Perform scientific research, writing, and editing of project products to established government standards for both technical and lay audiences.
Present project work in meetings and workshops and develop new approaches and solutions.
Required Skills
PhD in Healthcare, Science, Computer Engineering, or a related scientific, technical, or clinical discipline.
4 years of relevant work experience (12 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for the PhD requirement).
Knowledge of appropriate data sources for monitoring, characterization, analysis, and modeling.
Experience in scientific research and technical writing/editing.
Ability to translate clinical informatics requirements into technical implementations.
Experience working under supervision and participating in collaborative technical discussions.
Preferred Skills
Experience in the VA and/or DOD.
Experience implementing Electronic Health Records.
