Description

You will develop, maintain, and modernize applications on the IBM iSeries / AS/400 platform.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and maintain code using RPG, CL, and SQL.
• Analyze existing AS/400 codebases and propose modernization paths.
• Manage batch processing, job scheduling, and operational tasks.
• Implement subfile programming, service programs, and APIs.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on development experience on AS/400 and IBM iSeries.
• Proficiency in RPG (RPGLE, RPG/400, Free format RPG).
• Expert knowledge of DB2/400, including SQL, DDL, and DML.
• Experience with Query/400 and embedded SQL.
• Familiarity with change management tools (Aldon, Turnover).
• Strong debugging and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience with IFS and API development.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with migrating AS/400 applications to web or open systems.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
