Description

Develop, maintain, and enhance applications within the AS/400 environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and implement applications using RPGIV, ILE, and Free-form RPG.
• Manage complex queries and database operations using DB2/400 and SQL/400.
• Develop and maintain control language scripts using CL and CLLE.
• Integrate applications via Embedded SQL, service programs, and API calls.
• Handle data transfers and connectivity between iSeries, PCs, and networks.

Required Skills

• 7-8 years of experience in analysis, design, coding, testing, and implementation.
• Strong proficiency in RPGIV, ILE, CLLE, and Free-form RPG.
• Deep knowledge of DB2/400 and SQL/400 for complex query management.
• Experience with Embedded SQL in RPGLE, including prototypes, procedures, and binding directories.
• Expertise in CL and CLLE.
• Experience with iSeries IFS and network connectivity to PCs.
• Hands-on experience with XML.
• Experience writing FTP control language.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with Data Warehouse environments.
