Description

Develop, maintain, and enhance business applications on the IBM AS400 (IBM i) platform, bridging legacy systems with modern architectures.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build scalable, mission-critical systems using ILE technologies and IBM DB2.
• Refactor legacy code, optimize performance, and ensure production stability through rigorous tuning.
• Integrate IBM MQ and XML workflows, including SSIS-based messaging, within hybrid environments.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and high-quality production code.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to deliver iterative, reliable software solutions.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of AS400/iSeries application development, support, and enhancement.
• 8+ years of COBOL, RPGLE, CLLE, and QS36 within ILE architecture.
• 8+ years of IBM DB2 expertise, including SQL, stored procedures, and query optimization.
• 8+ years of ILE modernization and AS400 performance optimization experience.
• 3+ years of IBM Liberty (WebSphere) and WebSphere integration in hybrid architectures.
• Advanced Unix/Linux proficiency for scripting, job control, and cross-platform support.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with test-driven development practices.
• Proven ability to work independently in fast-moving environments.
