Description
Develop and maintain IBM i applications using COBOL/400, RPGLE, and CLLE.
This role is on-site.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test IBM i applications using COBOL/400, RPGLE, and CLLE.
- Implement and optimize DB2 for i programs, including SQLRPGLE and SQL in COBOL.
- Create and troubleshoot database triggers, stored procedures, and other database objects.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and write comprehensive unit tests.
- Analyze business requirements and produce detailed technical design documents.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on experience developing on IBM i (AS/400, iSeries).
- Strong proficiency in COBOL/400, RPGLE, and CL programming.
- Experience with DB2 for i database development.
- Proficiency in SQLRPGLE and SQLCBLLE.
- Experience with Rational Developer for i.
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
Preferred Skills
- Free-form RPG programming and automated testing frameworks.
- Experience with mentoring junior developers.
