Description

Develop and maintain applications on the iSeries platform, owning the full lifecycle from analysis to deployment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and create new programs using RPG, RPG ILE, SQLRPGLE, and Control Language (CLP/CLLE).
• Design and manage database objects including Physical files, Logical Files, SQL tables, indexes, views, and stored procedures.
• Develop screen programming components such as Display Files, Subfiles, and Printer files.
• Document business rules and create data mapping documents by analyzing program and data flows.
• Implement ILE programming structures including program modules, binding directories, and service programs.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in iSeries programming.
• Proficiency in RPG, RPG ILE, SQLRPGLE, and CLP/CLLE.
• Strong SQL skills, including modifying complex queries, embedded SQL, and cursor programming.
• Experience with Message Queue (MQ), MQ Trigger, and embedding XML tags in RPG programs.
• Ability to own project tasks through direct communication with analysts.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Turnover configuration management or X-Analysis cross-reference tools.
• Knowledge of ROBOT job scheduler and iSeries Navigator for SQL performance analysis.
• Familiarity with Star Schema databases or the Retail domain (Merchandising, Warehouse Management, Distribution).
