Description

You will develop and maintain applications on the iSeries platform, owning project tasks from analysis through to delivery.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and create new programs using RPG, RPG ILE, SQLRPGLE, and Control Language (CLP/CLLE).
• Design and manage database objects including Physical files, Logical Files, SQL tables, Indexes, Views, and Stored procedures.
• Develop screen programming components such as Display Files, Subfiles, and Printer files.
• Document business rules and create data mapping documents by analyzing program and data flows.
• Own project tasks from end to end through direct communication with analysts.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in iSeries platform programming.
• Proficiency in RPG, RPG ILE, and SQLRPGLE.
• Strong knowledge of Control Language (CLP/CLLE).
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries, embedded SQL, and Cursor programming.
• Experience with ILE programming, including program modules, binding directories, and service programs.
• Working knowledge of Message Queue (MQ), MQ Trigger, and embedding XML tags in RPG programs.
• Ability to work with Physical files, Logical Files, and SQL database structures.

Preferred Skills

• Degree in any field of study.
