Description

You will develop and maintain applications on the iSeries platform.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain programs using RPG, RPG ILE, SQLRPGLE, and Control Language (CLP/CLLE).
• Modify complex SQL queries, implement embedded SQL, and develop stored procedures.
• Create and manage physical and logical files, SQL tables, indexes, views, and stored procedures.
• Document business rules and create data mapping documents based on program and data flow analysis.
• Own project tasks end-to-end and communicate directly with client analysts.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional experience in AS400 development.
• Expert proficiency in RPG programming.
• Strong knowledge of SQL concepts and query optimization.
• Experience with RPG ILE, SQLRPGLE, and Control Language.
• Familiarity with Display Files, Subfiles, and Printer files.
• Working knowledge of Message Queue (MQ) and embedding XML tags in RPG programs.
• Experience designing and managing database structures (Physical/Logical Files, Tables, Indexes).
• Proficiency in analyzing and creating program modules and binding directories.
