Description

You will own the full development lifecycle for applications on the AS400/iSeries platform, from analysis through implementation and support.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, develop, and enhance applications using RPG, RPG ILE, SQLRPGLE, and CL/CLLE.
• Design and optimize complex SQL queries, embedded SQL, and cursor programming.
• Develop and maintain database objects including physical/logical files, indexes, views, and stored procedures.
• Create and modify screen programming elements such as display files, subfiles, and printer files.
• Support application integration via Message Queues (MQ), MQ triggers, and XML processing within RPG programs.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM iSeries (AS400) programming.
• Strong proficiency in RPG, RPG ILE, SQLRPGLE, and CL/CLLE.
• Experience with Message Queue (MQ) and MQ Triggers.
• Knowledge of embedded SQL, complex query analysis, and cursor programming.
• Experience with XML integration within RPG programs.
• Understanding of database structures: physical files, logical files, SQL tables, indexes, and views.
• Experience with ILE concepts: program modules, binding directories, and service programs.
• Ability to collaborate directly with business analysts and stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Retail domain experience (Merchandising, Warehouse Management, Distribution, Supply Chain).
• Familiarity with MDCMS, Turnover, X-Analysis, or ROBOT Job Scheduler.
