AS400 Developer with Synon

You will lead application development and modernization efforts on the IBM i platform, owning the full software development lifecycle for medium to large-scale projects. Your role requires deep technical expertise in legacy and modern IBM i technologies combined with proven leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain AS/400 applications using RPG, RPGLE, and CL.
• Lead technical teams and guide project execution through all phases of the SDLC.
• Manage database interactions and optimization using IBM i SQL.
• Utilize IBM X-analysis, ALDON, and Hawkeye for performance tuning and problem resolution.
• Conduct rigorous fact-finding and root cause analysis to resolve complex technical issues.

Required Skills

• Minimum 7 years of experience in AS/400 application development.
• At least 5 years of hands-on development with RPG, RPGLE, and CL.
• 5+ years of experience with Synon2/E (COOL 2/E).
• 5+ years of recent experience with IBM i SQL.
• 5+ years of recent experience in a leadership role.
• Proficiency with IBM X-analysis, ALDON, and Hawkeye tools.
• Strong ability to manage medium to large scope projects from conception to delivery.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with RxClaim or other PBM Adjudication systems.
• Proven track record of successfully completing complex technical projects.
