Description

You will maintain and support IBM i (AS400/iSeries) systems, ensuring production stability through batch monitoring, file processing, and incident triage.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Monitor batch jobs using WRKJOB and manage job queues for operational continuity.
• Analyze logs to identify issues and perform production support and incident triage.
• Handle file-based processing for inbound and outbound data flows.
• Validate data and execute basic queries using DB2 for i.
• Review and understand COBOL code within the iSeries environment.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience on the IBM i (AS400/iSeries) platform.
• Strong understanding of COBOL code structure and logic.
• Proficiency in DB2 for i, including basic querying and data validation.
• Experience with batch job monitoring tools such as WRKJOB and job queues.
• Hands-on experience with file-based processing (inbound/outbound).
• Proven ability in log analysis and production issue identification.
