Description

You will manage and support AS400 systems, focusing on infrastructure stability, performance optimization, and data integrity.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade AS400 systems and software using IBM i Access Client Solutions and Navigator for i.
• Manage storage allocation, libraries, and objects using IBM i Disk Management and BRMS.
• Implement security measures and user access controls via IBM Security Access Manager and IBM Guardium.
• Monitor system performance, tune SQL queries, and optimize indexes using IBM i Performance Tools.
• Execute backup and recovery procedures using BRMS to ensure disaster recovery readiness.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in AS400 infrastructure management.
• Proficiency with AS400 Infrastructure and SQL.
• Experience with Data Modeling using IBM Data Studio or IBM InfoSphere Data Architect.
• Hands-on experience with BRMS for backup and recovery.
• Knowledge of IBM i security tools and user profile management.
• Ability to perform system tuning and performance monitoring.
• Experience maintaining technical documentation in Confluence or SharePoint.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate education.
