Description

Lead development, support, and enhancement of AS400/iSeries applications and infrastructure.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement efficient programs and reports within the IBM i environment.
• Troubleshoot RPG programs, resolve performance issues, and manage system interfaces.
• Manage support and enhancement tickets, including user, group, and privilege management.
• Monitor job loads, disk space, and log files to perform routine housekeeping.
• Document current processes and create runbooks for iSeries support.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of overall software development experience.
• 3+ years of programming experience in AS400, iSeries, or IBM i environments.
• Strong proficiency in RPG programming and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Island Pacific, Manhattan, or JDAs applications.
• Working knowledge of ILE concepts.
• Practical experience with Agile methodologies.
• Ability to lead business requirement discussions and translate them into technical designs.

• Automate manual tasks to improve environment efficiency.
