Description

You will develop and maintain complex, company-wide systems on the AS400 platform.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex company procedures and drive process improvements using metrics.
• Develop, debug, and review application code, focusing on cross-departmental system interfaces.
• Lead large-scale projects from inception through completion using established SDLC methodologies.
• Manage stakeholder communications and expectations at the executive level.
• Monitor and adjust the automatic job scheduler for system operations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience working with RPG, RPG-ILE, COBOL, and SQL on the AS/400 environment.
• Proficiency in database design and implementation using DB2 and SQL on AS/400.
• Ability to write detailed program specifications and translate them into working code.
• Experience integrating systems using APIs and various cross-platform integration techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to solve ambiguous, complex technical problems without a defined solution path.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation delivery.
