Role Overview:

The AS400 Synon Application Developer will be engaged in application development projects within the healthcare industry, specifically focusing on AS400 Synon-based applications. This role requires strong functional knowledge of core PBM functions, including adjudication, pricing, accumulators, and MED D pricing, to build robust and efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and understand functional and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with business and capability teams to refine requirements.
• Guide the team and perform hands-on development.
• Partner with team members to build robust, efficient, effective solutions.
• Identify opportunities to fine-tune and optimize applications.
• Participate actively in the Agile/Scrum development process.
• Lead teams in an onshore/offshore model.
• Contribute to developing the technology roadmap for the team.
• Coordinate with clients for requirement clarification and solution discussions.
• Prepare Impact Analysis and detailed design documents based on user stories.
• Walk-through technical design documents with SASMEQA and QA groups.
• Develop or modify existing batch or online modules and programs.
• Prepare test plans, set up test data, and execute testing based on project requirements.
• Perform coding as per technical design documents and user stories.
• Ensure timely deliveries for all assigned tasks.
• Participate in Design reviews, Test Case reviews, and Production Support readiness reviews.
• Support QA, UAT, and Release phases through defect analysis and change maintenance.
• Adhere to all quality requirements and work independently.

Required Skills:

• iSeries, SYNON, COBOL, AS400 (Mid-Range), ILE, COBOL/400, CLLE, SQL.
• Strong functional knowledge of core PBM functions (adjudication, pricing, accumulators, MED D Pricing, benefit plan, regulations).
• 15+ years of hands-on coding experience in CA/2E (Synon), including programming, array handling, and commit control.
• 8+ years of hands-on coding experience in COBOL AS400 and/or Cobol ILE.
• Experience working with ACMS/MOM.
• Strong exposure to DB2400.
• 3-7 years of experience on AS400 Synon, CL.
• Experience in writing SQL queries.
• Ability to identify system changes and verify technical system specifications.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Good attitude and self-motivated.
• Adaptable to work during off-hours as and when required.
• 1-2 years of healthcare or PBM knowledge experience.

Qualifications:

• 15+ years of hands-on coding experience in CA/2E (Synon).
• 8+ years of hands-on coding experience in COBOL AS400 and/or Cobol ILE.
• 3-7 years of experience on AS400 Synon, CL.
• 1-2 years of healthcare or PBM knowledge experience.

Preferred Skills:

• Healthcare domain knowledge.
• Experience in RxClaim.
• Good to have AS400 COBOL or RPG technology
