Description

You will assess legacy IBM i (AS400) data for an Electronic Health Record application to identify retention requirements and migration candidates.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Review DB2 databases to identify files and datasets meeting North Dakota data-retention rules.
• Analyze RPG code to determine data origins and relationships affecting retention and migration.
• Conduct discovery sessions with end users to understand process flows and clarify data requirements.
• Review existing documentation and technical materials to support assessment.
• Deliver a comprehensive assessment with recommended next steps for Phase II.

Required Skills

• At least 5 years of experience working with IBM i / AS400 environments.
• Strong DB2 knowledge, including data analysis.
• Proficiency in RPG (III, IV).
• Experience documenting complex legacy environments.
• Ability to present technical findings to non-technical audiences.
• Experience gathering requirements related to data needs.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Electronic Health Record application and data sets.
• Experience preparing migration roadmaps or architectural assessments.
