Description

You will lead the migration and modernization of platform and database services from Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to Amazon Web Services (AWS).

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the migration of database services from GCP to AWS, ensuring performance, compatibility, and security compliance.
• Design AWS architectures utilizing Amazon RDS, Redshift, Aurora, Athena, and DynamoDB.
• Implement ETL processes using AWS Glue and Apache Beam, identifying optimization opportunities.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the data engineering team.
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to integrate database services.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in cloud migration and modernization projects.
• Strong proficiency with AWS services including S3, Redshift, RDS, and Data Pipeline.
• Hands-on experience with GCP services.
• Deep understanding of ETL processes using AWS Glue and Apache Beam.
• Expertise in designing data models for both GCP and AWS environments.
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using Python or Bash.
• Associate Architect level requires at least 1 Professional or Specialty level AWS certification.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification.
