Description

Design, develop, and maintain scalable Jira Cloud applications using the Atlassian Forge framework.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement native Forge modules, including Custom UI/React components, Global Pages, and advanced Workflow Validators.
• Utilize Forge primitives such as Storage, Custom Fetch, Web Triggers, and Event-Driven Functions for asynchronous business logic.
• Integrate Jira Cloud with external SaaS platforms and internal services using Jira REST APIs and secure outbound connections.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts to define technical solutions and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Document technical designs, deployment procedures, and testing plans for all custom solutions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience architecting and deploying Jira Cloud applications using the Atlassian Forge framework.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
• Deep experience building interfaces using React (Custom UI) or the Forge UI Kit.
• Comprehensive understanding of the Jira Cloud platform configuration layer, including Issue Types, Screens, and Workflow Schemes.
• Strong familiarity with Jira Cloud REST APIs and leveraging data within Forge applications.
• Knowledge of Forge authentication mechanisms, asynchronous processing, and event handling.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with legacy scripting in Server/Data Center (e.g., Groovy/ScriptRunner) to support migration or analysis.
• Familiarity with Jira Expressions for dynamic condition and validation logic.
• Working knowledge of SQL for understanding data structures and supporting external reporting efforts.
