Define and own the quality engineering reference architecture, ensuring alignment with product and platform strategy.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design modular, scalable test automation frameworks in Java using Selenium, extending to REST Assured, Playwright, and Pact for contract testing.
• Establish test pyramid, shift-left practices, and quality gates integrated into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Implement cloud-native test execution on AWS/Azure/GCP, leveraging Docker, Kubernetes, and Selenium Grid for parallelization.
• Drive flaky test governance through quarantine lanes, retry heuristics, and stability SLOs.
• Coach SDETs, lead architecture reviews, and partner with Product/Engineering to shape quality roadmaps.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in test automation architecture and engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Selenium (Page Object/Screenplay/Component Object Models).
• Experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Proficiency in containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of modern automation tools: Playwright, REST Assured.
• Experience with observability and reporting: Grafana, Allure, structured logging.
• Familiarity with distributed systems testing: Kafka, event-driven architectures.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with service virtualization and test data management (TDM).
• Knowledge of performance engineering tools (JMeter/Gatling) and security testing (ZAP/Burp).
