Description

You will lead automation efforts to monitor data center technical environments and automate reporting, tools, and manual processes.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation initiatives to improve data center monitoring and task efficiency.
• Develop test configuration plans for lab computing infrastructure.
• Identify system or storage performance issues and develop tools to improve management.
• Implement automation recommendations to increase operational responsiveness.
• Mentor and supervise junior Lab System Engineers in creating and executing automated tasks.

Required Skills

• 3-5 years of enterprise-class software development or automated process creation.
• Hands-on experience with Python and RESTful environments.
• Proficiency in DevOps and software development workflows.
• Ability to write reusable code and scripts for task automation and tool interfacing.
• Experience in debugging, triaging, and performance tuning of large software systems.
• Understanding of client/server, SAN/storage array support, and data center environments.
• Knowledge of fiber-channel storage arrays, hosts, switches, and storage networking infrastructure.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with ServiceNow, RFCode, and Atlassian products.
• Experience with Dell server hardware and storage, specifically iDRAC.
• Exposure to data center monitoring for thermal, power, and networking metrics.
