Description

You will design, develop, and support machine control and automation software for field equipment and robotics platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build applications for data acquisition, process control, sensor integration, and machine-to-machine communication.
• Develop cloud connectivity solutions and user interfaces for field and research workflows.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to deliver integrated hardware-software systems.
• Manage the full software development lifecycle from requirements definition to deployment and support.
• Perform in-field testing, troubleshooting, and validation to support operational environments.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience developing automation, robotics, or machine control software.
• Strong proficiency in C#, C/C++, and/or Python.
• Experience building multi-threaded applications and device communication (TCP/UDP, MQTT).
• Strong troubleshooting skills across both software and hardware systems.
• Experience working with APIs, data transformation pipelines, and cloud-connected systems.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Microsoft development stack (Visual Studio, .NET, WPF, WinForms).
• Familiarity with Linux-based automation systems and databases (SQL/NoSQL).
• Knowledge of serial communication protocols (RS232/RS485) and Agile/CI/CD practices.
