Description

Design, configure, and sustain site automation systems across control, safety, and industrial IT layers. Own the full lifecycle of PLC, SCADA, and HMI applications from development through validation and support.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain PLC and SCADA/HMI applications using Rockwell or Siemens platforms.
• Design industrial networks and connectivity protocols, partnering with IT on segmentation, hardening, and recovery.
• Integrate automation systems with historians, MES, BMS, CMMS, and ERP systems.
• Execute FAT/SAT, commissioning, and validation activities in regulated GxP environments.
• Troubleshoot controls, software, and network issues to minimize downtime and perform root-cause analysis.

Required Skills

• 2-5+ years of experience in industrial automation, controls engineering, and industrial IT.
• Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley ControlLogix/CompactLogix; Siemens S7/TIA Portal).
• Experience with SCADA/HMI development (iFIX, Wonderware InTouch, FactoryTalk View, Ignition, WinCC).
• Strong knowledge of industrial networking and protocols: EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus TCP, OPC DA/UA.
• Hands-on experience with databases and historians, specifically SQL Server and OSIsoft PI.
• Familiarity with OT/IT systems including Windows Server, VMware, and Hyper-V.
• Understanding of automation cybersecurity fundamentals, including firewalls, access control, and patching.
• Ability to apply digital tools and analytics for predictive maintenance and asset performance.

Preferred Skills

• Master's degree in Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with industrial robotics integration, safety PLCs, and vision systems.
