Description

You will own the commissioning and technical support of automated assembly cells and robotic automation systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Commission Ethernet/IP Fieldbus networks and establish communications with third-party equipment like cameras and welders.
• Validate safety equipment operation, including E-Stops, gates, and light curtains.
• Teach servos and manage device positioning for pick-and-place applications.
• Flash firmware, download software, and connect to equipment via PC.
• Collaborate with the build team to identify and correct defects in sensor positioning and alignments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in automation engineering.
• Proficiency with RSLogix v32 and Rockwell processors.
• Experience with GuardLogix safety programming.
• Working knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal and WinCC v15.1 for HMI.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
• Experience with Ethernet/IP Fieldbus networks.
• Integration of Fanuc robots via PLC handsaking.
• Hands-on experience with Rockwell Kinetix 5700 servo applications.

Preferred Skills

• Commissioning of Hirschmann managed Ethernet switches.
• Experience with Matrox vision camera systems.
• Familiarity with MES systems.
