Description

You will own the commissioning, qualification, and troubleshooting of Siemens-based automation systems in a life science manufacturing environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Execute commissioning and qualification (C&Q) activities for Siemens PLCs, HMIs, and embedded industrial PCs.
• Perform platform qualification and verify MQTT broker connectivity for data access testing.
• Provide direct controller and HMI support during equipment shakedown, startup, and troubleshooting phases.
• Collaborate with skid vendors to manage Siemens-related adjustments and resolve technical issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in automation engineering within Life Science or pharmaceutical environments.
• Strong proficiency with Siemens PLCs and HMIs using TIA Portal and WinCC.
• Hands-on experience with packaged skids from Cytiva, Sartorius, or Thermo-Fisher.
• Deep understanding of distributed architectures and Industry 4.0 concepts.
• Familiarity with MQTT protocol and edge-device integration.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent graduate standing.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to Rockwell, Proficy, CopaData, or Codeys technologies.
