Description

You will design, develop, and execute automated test plans and scripts for mainframe applications.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test cases across functional, integration, regression, system, and UAT phases.
• Develop and maintain automated testing scripts and frameworks for repetitive tasks using Ruby, Cucumber, and Gherkin.
• Set up and maintain mainframe test environments, including data refreshing and batch job execution.
• Detect, document, and track software defects, coordinating resolution with development teams.
• Report execution status, metrics, and defect trends to stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in QA/Testing.
• Strong working knowledge of mainframe technologies: COBOL, JCL, CICS, and REXX.
• Experience with mainframe databases, specifically VSAM.
• Proficiency in test automation using Ruby, Cucumber, and Gherkin.
• Expertise in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and various testing techniques (black-box/white-box).
• Familiarity with mainframe utilities like TSO/ISPF and File-Aid.
• Experience using test management tools such as Jira and Zephyr.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills to resolve complex application issues.
