Description

You will design and implement automated patching frameworks for various databases, including Oracle (RAC & Exadata), SQL Server, IBM Db2, MongoDB, MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL, and Cassandra.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end patching pipelines covering version discovery, pre/post-checks, compliance validation, reporting, and dashboards.
• Build and maintain automation workflows using tools like Rundeck, Ansible, Terraform, MFO, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
• Develop reusable automation frameworks and templates for infrastructure operations.
• Integrate automation workflows with monitoring, scheduling, and orchestration tools, and connect patching to CMDB/ServiceNow workflows.
• Troubleshoot automation failures, optimize existing processes, and document all designs and procedures.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of professional experience, with 7+ years specifically in automation or infrastructure automation roles.
• Strong hands-on experience scripting in Python and Shell (Bash) or PowerShell.
• Expertise in Ansible (playbooks, roles, inventories) and Terraform.
• Proven experience implementing large-scale patching automation solutions in enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with database systems: Oracle, SQL Server, IBM Db2, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL, MariaDB, or Cassandra.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps) and orchestration tools (Rundeck).
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with OS, Database, and Security teams.
