Description

You will balance manual testing with automation initiatives to ensure software quality and functional accuracy.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute detailed manual test cases covering functional, regression, exploratory, and usability testing.
• Develop, maintain, and update automation scripts for high-impact test cases.
• Write pre-requisite scripts in Postman, including schema formats like WADL/WSDL and API endpoint simulation.
• Track, log, and manage defects through their lifecycle using JIRA or qTest.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to improve testing efficiency.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience in software testing with at least 1 year of development experience.
• Proficiency in API testing using Postman, including RESTful APIs, JSON, and OAuth.
• Strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and QA methodologies.
• Working knowledge of Java or JavaScript programming.
• Experience with automation tools such as Rest Assured or TOSCA.
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools like JIRA or qTest.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and processes.
• Ability to analyze requirements and document test results clearly.

Preferred Skills

• Experience simulating API endpoints with mock servers.
• Background in API development.
