Description

You will design and build a standalone Java-based automation application to validate 3-tier applications in a batch environment.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automation suites and frameworks using Java and Selenium.
• Execute test validations for mainframe batch applications, including JCL job execution and Control-M scheduling.
• Perform manual data validations and data mining using SQL to ensure accuracy in high-volume applications.
• Collaborate with geographically dispersed teams within an Agile/Scrum model.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional experience with a strong background in Java development.
• Hands-on experience building automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, and Cucumber.
• 2+ years of experience with Mainframe batch applications, including Cobol, DB2, and file-based applications.
• Proficiency in Unix and Shell scripting.
• Strong SQL skills for data mining and creating test data from production examples.
• Experience validating data accuracy, performance, and scalability in high-volume distributed applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Bamboo, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of Git or Bitbucket.
• Domain knowledge in Financial Services, trading, or brokerage industries.
