Description

You will support automotive manufacturing operations and manage customer interfaces for OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers in the Detroit area. You own the sales cycle, coordinate design inputs, and analyze cost structures to drive procurement and production workflows.

Responsibilities

• Manage the sales cycle from OEMs to Tier 1 suppliers, including quotation processes for part costs, tooling, and capital investments.
• Coordinate design inputs such as BOM and coating or surface protection details using CAD tools.
• Interact directly with customers and OEMs to manage technical and business requirements.
• Analyze data and trends using Microsoft Office to prepare technical correspondence and presentations.
• Track component and tooling cost structures to support procurement and production workflows.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in the mechanical or automotive sector.
• 2+ years of work experience in automotive manufacturing, sales, purchasing, quality, production, or design.
• Understanding of the sales cycle between OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
• Knowledge of quotation processes including part cost, tooling, and packaging requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products for data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines with high accuracy.
• Strong oral and written communication skills for customer-facing interactions.
• Familiarity with OEM and Tier 1 business processes and supplier portals.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Auto CAD or Catia V5 for BOM and design input collection.
• Previous experience working directly with OEMs and their customer systems.
