Description

Lead migration and integration of Avaaya Core PBX into standard Cisco UC environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and support Avaaya telephony environments across multiple datacenters, including Utah Center and Equinix.
• Coordinate disaster recovery strategies and failover testing for Avaaya and Cisco voice systems.
• Ensure operational continuity during remote site cutovers and SCADA-dependent voice service transitions.
• Collaborate with network engineering to manage SD-WAN routing, SIP trunk redundancy, and latency mitigation.
• Deploy and configure RedSky Emergency Call Responder (E911) across dual data centers to meet regulatory compliance.

Required Skills

• 8-10 years of experience in voice systems engineering.
• Advanced expertise in Avaaya PBX (G450, CM, Session Manager) and Cisco UC (CUCM, Unity).
• Hands-on experience with SIP/PRI trunk configuration, redundancy testing, and vendor liaison (e.g., Lumen, Verizon).
• Experience architecting voice failover between primary and secondary data centers.
• Familiarity with RedSky or similar NG911 platforms for emergency systems.
• Knowledge of Eventide (analog integration) and Verint (QA/WFM) call recording solutions.
• Understanding of OT SCADA voice path requirements and reliability concerns.
• Proficiency in SD-WAN, QoS for voice, and latency analysis across long-haul circuits.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SAP BW/4HANA and Avaaya Aura.
