Description

You will provide systems engineering and test support for FAA Air Traffic Control Voice Communication Systems, including protocol converters.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans, strategies, and complex test procedures for voice communication systems.
• Lead the accreditation of test tools, including Traffic Load Generators and EUROCAE ED-137 tools.
• Manage test teams during procedure development and execution phases.
• Execute Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and participate in design reviews at vendor facilities.
• Collaborate with vendors to review testing approaches and contribute to test reports and stakeholder briefings.

Required Skills

• 16+ years of experience in testing or systems engineering.
• Extensive experience with VoIP communications systems.
• Proficiency with testing tools such as GL Communications MAPS ED-137 and Spirent VOTER.
• Expertise in Test Planning, Test Management, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
• Proven ability to manage a test organization and lead test teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• EUROCAE ED-137 experience.
• Knowledge of FAA standards.
