Description

Design architecture models and manage the full lifecycle of avionics software components. You will own the verification and validation process from requirements to certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop architecture models and perform SysML modeling using MagicDraw or Cameo.
• Write, validate, and verify high-level system functional requirements derived from stakeholder expectations.
• Develop test cases to verify systems and troubleshoot integration or verification issues.
• Coordinate design changes and deliveries with Safety, Security, and Certification organizations.
• Manage problem reports, change requests, and project plans through to closure.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience developing or designing within an avionics environment.
• Proficiency with MBSE tools such as EA Sparx, IBM Rhapsody, or MagicDraw.
• Experience with Configuration Management tools including SVN, Clearcase, Git, or Dimensions.
• Expertise in requirements definition, allocation, validation, and verification.
• Knowledge of embedded software, electronic systems, and system safety.
• Experience with FAA, EASA, or NAA certification processes.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Software, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with DO-297, DO-178, or DO-331 process assurance.
• Prior work with ARINC 653 partition-based operating systems.
