Description

You will architect and lead complex infrastructure migrations from on-premises VMware environments to Azure VMware Solution for enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

• Partner with program managers and service delivery teams to plan and guide large-scale infrastructure deployments.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security stakeholders to define requirements and migration strategies.
• Design and implement solutions using VMware’s Core Cloud Infrastructure and Azure cloud services.
• Produce solution documentation and build automated self-help tools to support technical communities.
• Act as a subject matter expert and trainer for other specialists on AVS and VMware products.

Required Skills

• 13+ years of IT experience with at least 3 years focused on Azure VMware Solution.
• 5+ years of experience with VMware vSphere, Azure cloud deployments, and cloud migrations.
• Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere 6.0 and above.
• Expertise in VMware NSX-T network virtualization, including NSX edge services (DNS, DHCP, Gateway Firewall, Distributed Firewall) and NSX migration.
• Proficiency with VMware vSAN.
• Experience managing on-premises-to-cloud migrations using VMware HCX.
• Deep knowledge of Azure networking, specifically Azure ExpressRoute, Azure VPN, Azure Virtual WAN, and Azure Route Server.
• Strong understanding of core platform architecture including hypervisors, networking, security, data protection, and high availability.
• Experience with datacenter networking fabric topologies (Layer 2 and Layer 3).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with VMware HCX Advanced & Enterprise, VMware Site Recovery Manager, and vSphere Replication.
• Familiarity with Azure Disk Pools, Azure NetApp Files, and Azure Monitoring/Security technologies.
• Knowledge of VMware management suites such as vCD, vROps, vRNI, and vRLI.
