Description

You will architect and guide complex infrastructure migrations for enterprise customers moving from on-premises VMware environments to Azure VMware Solution.

Responsibilities

• Partner with program managers and service delivery teams to plan and design large-scale infrastructure deployments.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security stakeholders to define requirements and migration strategies.
• Propose technical designs and act as a subject matter expert for other specialists.
• Develop solution documentation, automated self-help tools, and training materials for technical communities.

Required Skills

• 13+ years of IT experience with at least 3 years focused on Azure VMware Solution.
• 5+ years of experience with VMware vSphere, Azure cloud services deployments, and cloud migrations.
• Expertise in VMware vSphere 6.0 and above.
• Hands-on experience with VMware NSX-T network virtualization, including NSX edge services (DNS, DHCP, Gateway Firewall, Distributed Firewall) and NSX migration.
• Proficiency with VMware vSAN.
• Experience executing on-premises-to-cloud migrations using VMware HCX.
• Deep knowledge of Azure networking, specifically Azure ExpressRoute, Azure VPN, Azure Virtual WAN, and Azure Route Server.
• Strong understanding of core platform architecture: hypervisors, networking, security, data protection, high availability, and monitoring.
• Familiarity with datacenter networking fabric topologies (Layer 2 and Layer 3).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with VMware HCX Advanced & Enterprise, VMware Site Recovery Manager, or vSphere Replication.
• Knowledge of Azure Disk Pools, Azure NetApp Files, and Azure Monitoring/Security technologies.
• Experience with VMware management suites (vCD, vROps, vRNI, vRLI) and 3rd party network virtual appliances.
