Description

You will design and lead complex infrastructure migrations from on-premises VMware environments to Azure VMware Solution (AVS) for large enterprise customers.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Partner with program managers and service delivery teams to plan and architect large-scale infrastructure deployments.
• Work with application, infrastructure, and security stakeholders to define requirements and migration strategies.
• Propose technical designs and act as a subject matter expert and trainer for other specialists.
• Develop automated self-help solutions, solution documentation, and technical training materials.
• Maintain deep technical knowledge of Azure AVS and VMware product updates.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in architecting and designing datacenter and cloud infrastructures.
• Expertise in Azure VMware Solution (AVS) and VMware vSphere 6.0 or above.
• Hands-on experience with VMware NSX-T network virtualization, including edge services, DNS, DHCP, Gateway, and Distributed Firewall.
• Proficiency with VMware vSAN and VMware HCX for cloud migrations.
• Strong knowledge of Azure networking, including ExpressRoute, VPN, Virtual WAN, and Azure Route Server.
• Experience with NSX migration from VLAN or NSX-V.
• Deep understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 datacenter networking fabric topologies.
• Core architecture competency in hypervisors, data protection, high availability, and patching.
• Ability to manage 3rd party network virtual appliances, firewalls, and load balancers.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with VMware Site Recovery Manager, vSphere Replication, and VMware Cloud Director.
• Knowledge of Azure NetApp Files, Azure Disk Pools, and Azure Monitor/Arc.
• VCX, VCDX, VCM, CCDP, CCNP, or VCP-NV certifications.
